Motorcycle Unit

In the summer of 2000, the Madison Heights Police Department formed its Motorcycle Unit to supplement traffic safety and community policing efforts.

The unit is currently supervised by Lieutenant Michael Siladke and staffed by Lieutenant Alan Fecteau, Sergeant Craig White, Officer Gregory Hartunian, and Officer Steve King. These officers all underwent an intensive 80-hour "police motorcycle operator" class to achieve their wings. Upon successful completion of this training, these officers are considered to be among the top 2% of motorcycle operators nationwide.
