Motor Carrier Unit

Goals

The Madison Heights Police Department's Motor Carrier Enforcement (MCE) Unit is dedicated to increasing public safety and maintaining the conditions of our roadways by targeting serious safety defects and overweight conditions found in an ever increasing number of commercial vehicles traversing the roads and highways located throughout Madison Heights.

Staff

The unit is commanded by one lieutenant, who is responsible for all of the AIT and MCE officers. The officers are trained in the use of portable weight scales and employ these in their enforcement activities.
