  • If you are experiencing sewer problems such as water coming out of your basement floor drain (not plugged sinks), contact the Sewer Division of the Department of Public Services at 248-589-2294 during regular business hours from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. After hours, contact the Police Department 248-585-2100 and on-call personnel will be called in.

  • If you are moving, you will need a final reading of your water meter. Please call the Finance Department at 248-583-0845. Please allow 5 business days to receive the final bill. For more information regarding water bills please call the Finance Department at 248-583-0845.

  • If your catch basin cover contains only 6 drain holes, as opposed to the older 30-hole style of drainage cover, it is most likely that you are in a combined storm and sanitary sewer district. Drainage is slowed by design to minimize the chance of basement flooding during a major rain event and to allow the system time to accept all of the water. You can do your part by sweeping away any leaves, debris or other items that are blocking the restricted covers. For more information, please call 248-837-2797, or read the
