[ARCHIVED] Storm Damage

The ongoing wind, ice, and snow have brought down a lot of branches and limbs throughout much of southeast Michigan. In Madison Heights, your Department of Public Services will be continuing to make multiple passes through the City to collect and chip your storm damage. There are a few things you can do to help us!

  • All limbs must be placed between the sidewalk and the curb.
  • If there is an immediate hazard (hanging or broken limb, limb blocking sidewalk or street), please call the DPS main office at (248) 589-2294
  • You do NOT need to call DPS to pick up your storm damage; we will be by to do so. Please be assured that we will get it, but we have an entire City to sweep, so it may take a day or two.
  • DPS cannot address any tree/power line conflicts. This needs to be handled by DTE Energy.

We appreciate your assistance and cooperation as the City of Progress continues moving forward from these storms!
