Trail Tunes Battle 2023

Saturday, September 9, 2023

Our annual strolling music festival will once again bring 13 of the area’s best musicians Civic Center Park. This year though, it's a BATTLE. Yep, you heard that right. New this year is a battle of the bands component with the top musician - as voted on by YOU, taking home a $1,000 prize (2nd gets $500 too).
We've also got a family fun zone, food trucks, a small business vendor section, and... new to this year's festival is our 1st ever Beer Tent! The Madison Heights and Hazel Park Chamber of Commerce partnered with us and picked some beers you're gonna love! Plus, aside from supporting both groups, a portion of proceeds will go directly to the musicians playing on the trail. So come and drink responsibly for a good cause!
The festival lineup this year includes something for everyone, with a diverse array of genres represented along the trail (from all genres - rock, jazz, funk, acoustic, etc).
Many of your favorite Trail Tunes musicians from years past will be back with us again playing intimate sets in unusual places throughout the park. Watch them all, or spend the whole event at your favorites. Your choice. Just don’t miss it!
Our 2023 Featured Musicians Include:
-ABI
-The Aspersions
-Charles Caballero
-Colin Lazorka of Colin and the Cougars
-Gwenyth Hayes
-Kayfabe: thepplesband
-Leisure Machine
-Midnight Proof
-Scott Wrona Quartet
-Paul Parente Jazz Connection
-Peter Gee the black daisy
-Phoebe Holmes of the Keynote Sisters

Some important notes...
-This event is 100% free and open to everyone, of all ages, that loves music. However, if you can swing it, then supporting these outstanding local musicians with a tip, or by purchasing their merch, is 100% encouraged. Also, donations and merch purchases at the Arts Board's tent are also welcome.
-We won’t have chairs available throughout the trail, so treat this as a trip to the beach and bring a blanket or some chairs if you want to sit down and enjoy the music.
Finally, you definitely know some people who’d love this event, so after marking that you’re coming you should make sure to hit that button and invite them too!
