Employee Awards!
As a result of the those who participated in the 360 reviews and employee recognition survey we are excited to once again present the Ambitious Eagle Employee Awards! These exercises were extremely helpful, and most of your thoughts, comments, and suggestions were heard loud and clear! We are asking that employees nominate fellow co-workers for the following awards.
Better Together Award
It has been estimated that on average, people spend one-third of their life at work, if that's the case, who has made Madison Heights a better place to work? Nominate them for the "Better Together" award! This award recognizes Peer-to-Peer award recognizing outstanding contributions made towards enhancing the quality and morale of the workplace and creating a better public image of City government (such as positive interaction with other employees, public awareness, improving internal relationships, or collaboration with other agencies).
Everyday Hero
A hero is someone who has given their life to something bigger than oneself. Have you noticed one of our brave fire or police employees being an everyday hero? Nominate them for the "Everyday Hero" award! This award recognizes for demonstrating outstanding judgment or courage in an emergency.
Above & Beyond
Everyday employees take the extra steps to ensure residents needs are met sometimes one can go above and beyond for our residents. Has someone gone above & beyond for you? Nominate them for the "Above & Beyond" award! This award recognizes for demonstrating a high awareness of the needs of the citizens regarding the services provided and encouraging others to value the importance of public service and stewardship.
Bright Light
It is easy to find a reason to celebrate our cumulative accomplishments and progress in Madison Heights; however, we must also focus on opportunities to improve. Have you seen someone come up with an idea for efficiency or cost savings? Nominate them for the "Bright Light" award! This award recognizes superior performance or innovation: initiative, work quality, response to unanticipated situations, money savings ideas, efficiency ideas, or contributions to City priorities.
You will be asked to provide your contact information, the name and department of the employee as well as a detailed explanation related to that nomination category only, including significant achievements, results, and positive impact on the department and/or City. Include specific examples.
Deadline for the first round of awards is November 30th
