Library Apps & Resources: Instructions
Check back regularly for new topics and instructions.
Hoopla - Download the app or visit hoopla.com and create a login to use this service. You will also need your library card number and 4 digit pin. Your pin may be the last 4 digits of your phone number or you could try 1234. If this is still not working for you, your card may be expired, which would require assistance from staff.
Hoopla ebooks and audiobooks check out for 21 days, videos are 3 days and music for 7 days. There are no holds, everything is available to borrow when you log in. If you do not see a title here you are looking for, then you should check on Overdrive.
Overdrive - Download the app or visit https://tln.overdrive.com/destination-madisonheights/content. You will need your library card number and 4 digit pin. Your pin may be the last 4 digits of your phone number or you could try 1234. If this is still not working for you, your card may be expired, which would require assistance from staff.
Titles here are 1 copy per user, just like traditional library materials. You may borrow 6 items at a time, and place up to 10 items on hold.
If a title you want says "Place a Hold" that means that someone else is already borrowing the item. The system will prompt you to enter your email address. You will receive an email when the title is available to check out. If you do not see a title here that you are looking for, you may recommend it (if you see a "Recommend" button) or it may not be available for the library to purchase as some publishers restrict libraries from purchasing ebooks.
