To hear, review and decide variance requests, decision appeals or ordinance interpretations from any person, firm or corporation regarding the Zoning Ordinance.

Qualifications desired skill set
Members-at-Large must be Madison Heights residents with an interest or working knowledge of land use planning, zoning, real estate development, engineering, architecture, or community service.

Additional Information
The Zoning Board of Appeals enjoys all the powers granted to it by both state law and Ordinance No. 278, which includes some specific powers. Ordinance and map interpretations, modification of height, wall, buffering, screening and landscape requirements, modification of vehicle parking stalls, loading area and placement regulations, and the granting of use variances are specific examples of power granted to this board.
