Purpose
The purpose of this commission is to study the crime situation in the City, to make recommendations for its prevention and elimination and to develop citizen cooperation in law enforcement. Each member must be a registered voter of the City.Membership Information

The commission is composed of the following members:- 1 Council Representative, 1 Council Representative Alternate
- 2 Alternates
- 6 Members appointed by Mayor

Members serve 3 year terms.Qualifications
Members-at-large must be Madison Heights residents.About the Commission
The purpose and function of the Crime Commission is to study the crime situation in the City, to make recommendations for its prevention and elimination, and to develop citizen cooperation in law enforcement. The Commission offers safety tips, anti-smoking programs, child identification kits, and staffs informational tables at City festivals.
