Statement of Services
The Recreation Department is responsible for conducting the City's leisure and recreational programs. The Division provides instructional programs in such areas as dance, tennis, tai chi and art. The "Festival in the Park" continues with great success. Team sports such as basketball, softball and volleyball are also offered.

The Madison Heights’ Recreation Department offers limited financial assistance to residents that qualify, for youths to participate in Recreation activities. Assistance is based on household income and size with those who qualify receiving either 50% or 25% discount on registration fees. This program is open only to Madison Heights’ residents and is on a first-come first-served limited basis. Interested residents should apply in-person at the DPS Office (801 Ajax Dr.). Please bring proof of residency and income (W-2, 1099, layoff notice, etc.) for approval. Each youth receiving assistance can apply for two recreation activities during the year, July 1st thru June 30th.
