The Madison Heights Police Department recognizes the need for consistent and updated training in order to give its officers the knowledge they need to perform their duties effectively.
Every year, our officers attend training (either in house or at another location) that includes defensive tactics, criminal law updates, firearm qualification, first aid, OC/Taser re-certification, and much more.
Members of our department consistently get sent to a variety of schools and training sessions they request to enhance their skills. These training opportunities are paid for by the department, and officers can be reimbursed for food, living expenses and gas.
